Richard Brilliant
Richard Brilliant, professor emeritus of art history and archaeology and Anna S. Garbedian Professor in the Humanities at Columbia University, is the author of numerous publications, including Group Dynamics: Family Portraits and Scenes of Everyday Life at the New-York Historical Society, Portraiture, and Facing the New World: Jewish Portraits in Colonial and Federal America. Educated in classics and art history at Yale and in law at Harvard, Brilliant is the recipient of many awards, including honors bestowed by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
