Robert Polner
Robert Polner is a public affairs officer for New York University. A former reporter and editor for Newsday, he co-authored, with Seymour P. Lachman, The Man Who Saved New York: Hugh Carey and the Great Fiscal Crisis of 1975, the winner of the 2011 Empire State History Book Award from the New York State Archives Partnership Trust, and Three Men in a Room: The Inside Story of Power and Betrayal in an American Statehouse (The New Press). He is also the editor of America’s Mayor: The Hidden History of Rudy Giuliani’s New York.
