Director of Navdanya and of the Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology, she is the author and editor of a number of books, including Seeding Freedom (The New Press) as well as Making Peace with the EarthSoil Not OilSeed Sovereignty, Food SecurityWho Really Feeds the World? She is based in Delhi.
